Sophia Conroy-Iglesias is a British-Spanish artist and designer from London. She holds a BA in Graphic Communication Design from Central Saint Martins, UAL (London, UK)
“I paint the female form as both myth and memory, a body caught between tenderness and defiance. Influenced by the Old Masters, Renaissance drama, and the surreal edge of animation, my figures inhabit symbolic spaces drawn from scripture, folklore, and dream. Confined within the canvas, they press against its limits—vulnerable, sensual, alive. Each painting is paired with a handwritten poem on its reverse, an echo in language that deepens its intimacy. My work becomes a visual fable: a space where femininity is at once fragile and radiant, vulnerable yet empowered, always telling its own story.”
